A New Era
Superior Traffic Services and its Real-Time Traffic Management System is the result of a long-standing partnership between Montana natives Jeff Hollenback and Jonathan Walther.
Mr. Hollenback has more than 30 years’ experience in providing traffic control services to contractors working in the state and federal highway construction market. His previous companies owned and operated one of the largest fleets of portable traffic signals in the country.
Jonathan Walther was a great contributor to the aerospace industry and deep space program during his 23-year career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he was a Cognizant Design Engineer on NASA’s Deep Space Network, involved with the remote monitoring and control of spacecraft. Wow!
In 2007, Mr. Walther brought these skills to the portable traffic signal industry where he and Mr. Hollenback founded Superior Traffic Services, which has developed a family of increasingly sophisticated traffic control devices, culminating in STS’ patented Real-Time Traffic Management System (RTTMS). All STS signal devices come equipped with the STS TESS Controller and standard-issue, redundant radar and video detection, dual webcams, and 3 forms of communication. With the RTTMS, these standard features make 24/7 real-time configuration, programming, system-status monitoring and live viewing of traffic and work zones a walk in the park.
The STS offerings include the TESS platform, which connects all the STS devices and jobs together with the RTTMS, allowing STS customers to have access to jobs through the online dashboard and the STS TESSmobile app!
